In Japanese family ceremonies like wedding, funeral, or Buddhist service, unique black suit is popular.

Some of the fabrics are specially processed to make more dark and mat, so ceremony suit looks different from business suit.

Then when I see a group in the black suits, I can realize that a ceremony was held nearby.

Especially at funeral and Buddhist service, most people wear black.

For attendee, wearing normal dark suit is not be much problem, but while living in Japan for long time, black ceremony suit will be helpful in such situations.

暗いネイビーやグレーであることが多く、

略礼服用の黒い生地は専用のものです。

表面の光沢を減らすなど

より深い黒を出す工夫がされているため

略礼服の佇まいはビジネス用のものと異なります。

略礼服を着た集団を町で見かけると

遠目にもしめやかな雰囲気が伝わりますね。

お祝い事にはやや華やかなスーツも素敵ですが

主に葬儀用の略礼服はビジネス用と分ける方が

それぞれの場面に合うことと思われます。
